I am a aspiring project manager as well as digital artist with a focus on UX design and illustration. I am a recent graduate of Fordham University where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and New Media and Digital Design with a focus on Art, Text, and Design.

 

Throughout college I have been able to become involved in many design projects with my peers, leading to my deep interest in UX/UI and graphic design. Yet, with each project, I always found myself in a leadership role, and with the help of mentors, I realized how much I enjoyed project management. This role was something I have been able to get tastes of during my internships with Technolochicas, where I helped found an after school program, as well as my internship at Discover Financial Services, where I acted as a Scrum Master. Through those opportunities, as well as through serving as Secretary, Social Media Coordinator, and President of Fordham Latinx Club, I’ve learned how to lead teams effectively, work with different media channels, and develop my skills working with individuals from different communities

Additionally, as a Latina in STEM myself, I have worked with multiple organizations that focus on empowering women in STEM as well as organizations that focus on uplifting, supporting, and celebrating the Latinx community. This has influenced my work, both professional and personal as I mainly explore topics concerning the empowerment of Latinx individuals in STEM.  With a background in computer science and digital media, I use a variety of mediums for my work such as photography, digital art, and UX/UI design. I ultimately hope to create meaningful and unique projects that people can connect to, whether it is through showcasing individuals’ personal experiences or designing/creating applications and resources that tackle social issues.
